No matter what your beliefs are, there is no denying that we are living in trying times, and what do we need in trying times? A brand new album from Ice T’s iconic L.A. metal mob-Body Count mothaaaafuckkaaaaaaaasss! As Ice would say, “Ya got damn right!” And that’s just what we’re getting, on March 21st Body count is releasing 11 tracks of mayhem called ‘Bloodlust’, the new album features Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Max Cavalera of Soulfly, Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe and a “Raining Blood“/”Postmortem” Slayer medley.
Ever since Body Count introduced themselves in 1990, soundin like Suicidal Tendencies possessed the souls of the Rhyme Syndicate, they have always spoke their mind, “No Lives Matter” is no exception. Ice-T recently talked to Playboy about Black Lives Matter and our current Presidential situation.
“I come from the gang world, you know. You can’t just be talking s–t and think the other gangs don’t hear you. You can’t talk the way he talks and think the rest of the world doesn’t see him as their enemy. Once the dude told the world, ‘I’m smarter than the generals,’ I knew we were up s–t’s creek. But I predict his own supporters will turn on him in six to eight months. So let’s just cross our fingers.”
