We got the chance to find out a little bit more about the Krushed Grapes lifestyle from the man himself- exclusively for Locash.

Cab, what influences your style?

Life influences art, and vice-versa. The lifestyle that I live is a representation of the art that I create. It’s full of great adventures, joy, pain, achievement, failure, work and play. Balance. You dig?

What’s your favorite drink?

People often ask me this question, and I cannot give you a simple one-drink answer. Wine is definitely my favorite alcoholic beverage, but I love drinking wine, and the culture of wine in general. I don’t have a favorite wine. Depends on the seasons, food I am drinking with, what part of the world I am in, etc. It’s getting warm now, so I’m more on the white rather than red. Simply because white wine is served chilled, and is more refreshing in the warm or hot weather.

Where are your favorite travel destinations?

My own mind first and foremost. Japan, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Canada. I’d like to buy a huge yacht at some point and sail the globe. My company took a group of people on a wine, jazz and safari tour in South Africa back in 2010. And we did Sonoma wine country in 2011. I’ll be doing more KG Lifestyle tours to various destinations in 2016.

I see you directed your “Le Connoisseur” video. What are some of your favorite music videos?

Wow. If we’re talking strictly rap, we have to go back a bit. “Think About It” by Special Ed, “Microphone Fiend” by Eric B. & Rakim, “My Philosophy” by BDP, “Scenario” by A Tribe Called Quest, “Me, Myself & I” by De La Soul. So many more, but these stand out in my head at the moment.

What’s Harlem nightlife like in 2015?

Very colorful, vibrant, trendy. Harlem USA is the place to be all over again for nightlife. Similar to back in the 20’s, 30’s. 40’s. All races and classes would come uptown to party. That’s what it is right now. Harlem is it.

“Nightlife partyin’ all night in Harlem-

Uptown, everything’s all right in Harlem-

So many born are destined for stardom-

Say it ain’t beautiful, I beg your pardon?-”

From the song “MAIDEN HARLEM” off of the forthcoming album KRUSHED GRAPES: HARLEM VINTAGE by Cab Cabernet.
